Errant visions of the life I bought and sold
Fall shattered to the ground along with all the promises I've told
And all the thoughts and dreams I thought I'd find

There is one that I left behind
And It's love that comes too soon

I can see the vanishing sunset in her eyes
The trail of tears and the heart I know I've victimized
And through it all I can surmise

Instead of love I just criticized

Now that old waterfall of love barely drips
